Ingredients (Composition)

Ingredients Quantity Used for Preparation
Loha Bhasma 192 grams
Haritaki – Terminalia Chebula 192 grams
Mix Loha Bhasma and Haritaki Churna and grind using water and leave the mixture for 3 days.
Bibhitaki – Terminalia Bellirica 192 grams
Amla(Indian Goseberry) – Emblica Officinalis 192 grams
After 3 days, Add Bibhitaki and Amla Powder to the mixture and grind using water and leave the mixture for another 4 days.
Now, add following ingredients in the Triphala and Loha Mixture.
Sonth (dried ginger root) – Zingiber Officinale 192 grams
Kali Mirch (Black Pepper) – Piper Nigrum 192 grams
Pippali (Long Pepper) – Piper Longum 192 grams
Ajwain- 192 grams
Vaividang (False Black Pepper) – Embelia Ribes 192 grams
Mustak (Nagarmotha) – Nut Grass – Cyprus Rotundus 192 grams
Chitrak root – Plumbago Zeylanica 192 grams
Dhataki flowers – Woodfordia Fruticosa 960 grams
Water 24.5 Kg
Shahad – Honey 3 Kg
Gur-Jaggery 9.6 Kg

Lohasava has USHNA VIRYA (Hot potency) and acts as LEKHANA (reduces fatty tissue), hematogenic and Haematinic. Therefore, it can help to reduce weight and increase hemoglobin level. As it contains iron content, so it is more likely to be effective in iron deficiency anemia.
